Who loves Music, the Music of the deep passions and emotions cannot miss a visit of the places marked by one the greatest composers of Italy: Giacomo Puccini. Every Italian, every Tuscan, every Lucchese loves him, the real son of Lucca. We'll start our tour from the house in which Puccini was born, which is now a shrine to great opera's composer. The fine 15th-century house has portraits of him, costume designs for his operas and the piano he used when composing his last opera: Turandot.Left unfinished at his death . it was completed by Franco Alfano and given its first performance two years later at La Scala in Milan. But the composer mostly lived in Torre del Lago to indulge his passion for shooting, waterfowl, where his wife is buried in the house, in the mausuleum between the piano room, where he kept his rifle ( " my second favourite instrument). The operas are today performed the open-air in summer. The reed-fringed reserve for rare birds and migrants.
